Fifteen researchers from Canada, England, the Netherlands,
from Turkey and the U.S.A. and three from Germany came to Bielefeld
to participate in a two-week intensive program.
The theoretical foundations of faith development theory and of
the biographic-reconstructive research in religion have been discussed,
but the special focus was on the research methods in these fields
which also have been trained hands-on in the computer lab.
Two guest lectures were part of the program: we listened to and
discussed with Prof. James Fowler, Atlanta on video conference;
we heard an interesting lecture by Prof. Ralph Hood, Chattanooga.
Teachers were: Rosina-Martha Csöff, Dr. Carsten Gennerich,
Dr. Barbara Keller, Christopher Silver and Prof. Heinz Streib.
For the organisation of the summer academy, we had the help of
three student assistants: Ramona Teschner, Sylja Wandschneider
and Tanja Zimmermann.
